Chelsea Manning Attempted Suicide A Second Time, Lawyer Says

Chelsea Manning's attorney says the imprisoned Oklahoma transgender soldier tried to kill herself for the second time last month.  

The attorney told the BBC, Manning attempted suicide in October at Fort Leavenworth, though he declined to tell specifics. 

Manning also tried to take her life in July.

Chelsea Manning was born in Crescent, Oklahoma as Bradley Manning.  

She is serving a 35-year sentence for leaking more than 700,000 secret military documents to WikiLeaks.

In September, Manning was ordered to serve to 14 days in solitary confinement for charges relating to her attempt to kill herself in July.
