Police are looking for multiple cars stolen from a Tulsa auto auction. Officers are investigating the theft from Adesa Auto Auction at 161st East Avenue and Admiral.
Authorities say the thieves somehow got onto the property and stole an estimated three cars from the lot. A security guard followed but was only able to keep up with one of the vehicles, a Dodge Charger.
The person who stole that car drove over spike strips at the entrance of the lot and kept going on the rims, security said. The thief eventually bailed from the car and ran off. Police said they found a gun inside the abandoned Charger which had four blown tires.
The other vehicles were still missing Thursday morning.
Police said the business is going to have to do inventory to determine which other vehicles are missing.
