A man was shot early Tuesday at a south Tulsa apartment complex in an argument police said may be connected to a drug deal.
Officers say they were called to a shooting at the Windsail Apartments in the 7300 block of South 99th East Avenue at about 4:40 a.m. They arrived to find a victim shot in the head with life-threatening injuries.
Police said it is still early in the investigation, but it detectives said two men did some type of transaction - possibly involving drugs - at the apartment complex. A man who left after the deal came back around 4:30 a.m. The two men started arguing and eventually shot at each other.
Officers said the man who was shot in the head is not expected to survive his injuries.
Three witnesses and the shooter were taken into custody to be interviewed. Police said several apartments were hit by gunfire, but only the one person was wounded.
EMSA took the man to a Tulsa hospital.
