The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office and Tulsa police are investigating after a woman told them she escaped from a vehicle after being shot Monday afternoon.
According to deputies, a woman was at the Hard Rock Casino when she asked for a ride from a man and a woman.
She told them they started driving the wrong direction and she got worried. That’s when she said she was shot inside the vehicle, which she described as an older model, green four-door sedan on Admiral in Tulsa.
According to the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was shot in the upper torso. They say her injuries are non-life threatening.
The woman said after she had been shot, the man and woman drove her to a rural area of Wagoner County where she escaped.
Deputies said the woman told them she ran through some woods and stumbled upon a construction site at the Oak Grove Fire Station where workers dressed her wound and called 911.
No suspect descriptions have been released at this time but the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office said they are considered armed and dangerous.
They ask anyone with information to call the Tulsa Police Department at 918-596-9222 or the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office at 918-485-3124.
