First Baptist Tulsa is expanding its downtown campus.
It is part of the "For Our Future" project, which includes a new building on the east side of the fourth and Detroit location.
The four-story building will include space for different activities and classes for the church.
"Our current building is 70 years-old," said First Baptist Pastor Deron Spoo. "And it has lived a good, fruitful life. And it just can't be renovated anymore. So we're breaking ground on a new building."
The first floor of one of the existing buildings will also be remodeled.
