Handcuffed Man Runs From Tulsa Police After DUI Arrest

<p>A man in handcuffs who police say ran from officers after a DUI traffic stop in east Tulsa early Saturday is now in jail.&nbsp;</p>

A man in handcuffs who police say ran from officers after a DUI traffic stop in east Tulsa early Saturday is now in jail. 

Police say at about 1 a.m., an officer spotted a pickup driving recklessly on Highway 169 and began to follow it.  Police eventually stopped the driver in the 6500 block of South 108th East Avenue where the man was arrested.

Police said while the officer went to check inside the pickup, the handcuffed driver ran off.

They say the man was located a short time later behind some bushes at a nearby apartment complex.

He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including, DUI and resisting arrest.
