Public Forums To Seek Input Into Future Of Broken Arrow High School

Broken Arrow Public Schools are seeking the public's input at three forums this week concerning the future of the district's high school. 

The high school is located at 1901 East Albany Street.

Officials say parents, students and community residents will have the opportunity offer ideas as well as get an update on the high school study which began in 2015 at the three forums:

• Tuesday, October 4 at Centennial Middle School at 225 East Omaha from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday, October 5 at the Broken Arrow PAC at 701 South Main Street from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
• Thursday, October 6 at Childers Middle School at 301 East Tucson from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

School officials say the district continues to grow and Broken Arrow school board steering committee is gathering information and will evaluate potential configurations.  The district also has an online survey starting October 13th through November 1st.

BAPS High School Configuration Study

Officials say at the end of the study in May 2017, the steering committee will present a comprehensive road map for the school board to consider.
