One person was shot in the 10900 block of East 21st Street Sunday night.

Around 7:45 p.m., Tulsa police responded to 21st Street between Garnett Road and Highway 169.

Sergeant Mark Watson said the original call went out as an injury accident, but when first responders arrived they found one man shot inside a car.

Officers said they believe there was an argument between two people in the car and they had stopped on 21st Street.

Police said the man was shot once but the bullet passed through one leg and into the other leg.

They said the victim ran from the car to a nearby business for help. He was taken to a hospital and rushed into emergency surgery.

Police are searching for a small gray two-door vehicle with possibly a broken windshield last seen going west on 21st Street.
