Sand Springs Teen Loses Battle With Cancer

A sad update concerning a Sand Springs teen who married his high school sweetheart while in the hospital because of cancer.

Swift Myers has died. 

Back in July, News On 6 told you about the wedding at St Francis Children's Hospital, when 18-year-old Swift and Abbi Ruicker married in the hospital's lobby.

The couple met three years ago when a mutual friend was in the hospital.

Swift had battled cancer several times, starting back in the 7th grade.

His friends coined the phrase Swift Strong, to honor and support him.
