Pittsburg Public School students returned to class Thursday.

A weekend storm caused the district east of Kiowa and south of McAlester to cancel classes for three days this week.

School officials say strong winds damaged the roofs at the gym and elementary school.  Crews are working to save the gym floor from water damage.  If they can't, the district says it will cost $80,000 to $150,000 to fix it.

The school district says make-up days for the three missed this week will be January 2nd, 16th, and February 20th, 2017.
