The University of Tulsa athletics changed from Nike to Adidas earlier this year, and the players got to see their new uniforms Thursday.
As the Golden Hurricane walked out to greet their fans at the annual Kickoff Luncheon, it was a more positive outlook for TU fans coming into this season.
"It's just the excitement the players have brought to the stage,” said head coach Philip Montgomery. “Our fans are excited. Getting bowl eligible was a big first step for us, and I think the way we played in a bowl game was special. You always have some ups and down when you go through camp and our lows have been very marginal."
Continuing with the theme of positivity, the players were introduced to their new Adidas uniforms and from top to bottom the players definitely approve.
"Look good play good and I like the way we look,” said linebacker Trent Martin. "We were all very excited, and I'm pumped. I think we look great. It feels really good, what we're wearing. And I'm excited to put these on, on Saturdays."
"You see these jersey's?” asked wide receiver Keevan Lucas. “We're going to be clean the first game. It’s good to actually see what we've been waiting on."
TU will go with the all-white jersey combination for the home opener and said they will have more combinations than the ones displayed Thursday, so there's a possibility you’ll see some wild TU jersey combos this year.
