Altercation In SW Tulsa Apartment Leads To Shooting

An altercation inside a southwest Tulsa apartment led to one bullet being fired into another apartment, police said.

The shooting happened Sunday evening at the Hampton Hills Apartments, 718 W 49th Street.

A woman, a child and the woman's boyfriend were inside an apartment when a group of four people, including the woman's ex-boyfriend, kicked in the door, police said. 

During a fight, the ex-boyfriend pistol-whipped the boyfriend in the head, which caused the gun to go off and send a bullet into another apartment, police said.

No one was injured in the shooting. 

The group ran away from the apartment and police are looking for them. They did not release a suspect description at this time.
