Additional Tennis Courts Planned For Tulsa's LaFortune Park

Tulsa County plans to add additional tennis courts at the LaFortune Park Tennis Center, thanks to a $500,000 donation.

Right now - the tennis center in the 5000 block of South Hudson, has 21 outdoor courts, and three indoor courts, but at busy times - they're all in use.

A donor - who asked to stay anonymous - offered to pay part of the cost of three more indoor courts.

Tulsa County is also considering building a fabric covered steel structure on the existing croquet field.  It would be heated and cooled.

The county is still researching final costs and options for the building, and the construction is still undetermined.
