Food For Kids Volunteer Day

News On 6 and The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma are asking for your help to fight hunger and feed hope. Join us on Thursday, September 1st, for a day of volunteering at the Community Food Bank. There are three volunteer shifts available, 8am-12pm, 1pm-3pm, and 6pm-8pm. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

One in four children in Oklahoma struggles with hunger every day. Your volunteer efforts in part will help provide food for chronically hungry children through the Backpack Program, Kids Cafe, Summer Feeding and School Pantry Program. News On 6 is a proud partner of the Food for Kids program, as it is our mission to end childhood hunger in our state. Thanks to the support of the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma, any amount donated to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma's Food for Kids program will be matched up to $35,000 now through October 15th.
