An Owasso family lost their home to fire after a lightning strike early Saturday.
Firefighters said they got the call at around 2:30 a.m. to the home in the 7700 block of North 126th East Avenue. Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Walker says when they arrived flames were coming through the roof.
He says the family and their pets got outside before firefighters arrived and are OK.
Walker says this house wasn't the only one that caught on fire because of a lightning strike, but it was the most significant because of the damage. Adding the home is considered a total loss.
