Police: Tulsa Mom Arrested For Whipping Child With Extension Cord

Police arrested a Tulsa mom Tuesday afternoon after witnesses told officers she whipped her child with an extension cord. 

Officers booked Erica Neal, 36, into the Tulsa County jail on a child abuse complaint as well as several outstanding city arrest warrants.

In their report, officers found injuries on the child which were "consistent with being beaten with an extension cord."  They stated some of the boy's injuries looked fresh, while some appeared to be older.

Jail records show Erica Neal has a city court appearance set for Thursday on the outstanding warrants and a county court appearance for August 9th on the child abuse complaint.
