Tulsa police arrested a man with felony warrants after detectives found a stolen vehicle in a motel parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

Police said homicide detectives spotted a stolen blue SUV at the Tulsa Inn and Suites in the 8200 block of East Skelly Drive. They said the SUV was associated with a stolen credit card earlier in the day.

Officers said patrol units came to get the suspect, identified as Spencer Scism. They said Scism ran around the motel before barricading himself in the lobby’s storage closet.

Police said they then pepper-sprayed the man and arrested him.

According to police, Scism also had four felony warrants, in addition to the fraudulent credit card charge.

They said he will be booked on the stolen credit card charges plus possession of a stolen vehicle.
