It could be paralysis, which notably stopped the careers of Cooper Manning and David Wilson of the Giants.
Harding admits running out of the gates ready to play will be greatly missed, but he has to move on from football and doesn’t want his condition to deter players from playing football.
"I don't want to scare anybody; it's not something that every kid is going to have," hr explained.
Common treatment for the condition is exercise and physical therapy. But this business management major's scholarship is still honored by OSU.
"I enjoy my time now," he stated. "I play a lot of golf, ride dirt bikes, enjoy family time and all that, it's incredible.
On Tuesday, we caught up with him and he said hearing about his former coach Allan Trimble's ALS diagnosis is difficult.

"It's not something you want to hear on anybody, especially a guy who's had such an impact on a community like Jenks,” he stated. “It's tough to hear. He's an incredible guy. I have all the love for him because he is a guy you want to look up to and be that guy when you're older."
