Help is coming in July for Oklahomans struggling to cope with the extreme heat.

DHS has about $18 million in federal funds to help people stay cool through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LI-HEAP.

DHS begins taking applications online beginning July 19th.

Help will be offered until the money runs out.

Eligibility is based on a household's income and assets.
