The Bartlesville Police Department said a man was shot in the chest during an apparent domestic incident Saturday night. Officers were called to a "fight in progress" at a home in the 4600 block of East Tuxedo just before 9 p.m., according to Captain Jay Hastings.

A caller reported hearing a fight and three gun shots with people running from the home, a news release states.

"When officers arrived they stopped a car seen leaving the residence," Hastings said. "Around the same time another car arrived at the hospital from the same residence with male subject who had been shot in the chest."

Hastings said the early investigation shows a man went to the home and confronted his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

"The ex-boyfriend was the person who was shot," he said.

No one else was hurt. The victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital. He has not been identified.
