Woman Charged With Vandalizing Depew Churches Says She Was 'Spreading Love'

Recently released court documents reveal more about the vandalism of  Creek County churches and a woman's arrest.

Creek County deputies arrested 40-year-old Tammy Hall Monday afternoon after some churches were vandalized with red spray paint. Within hours of the crime being reported, Hall was in custody. 

Sheriff John Davis and a sergeant major went to Tammy Hall's house, and court records show Hall initially said she didn't know anything about the church vandalism. 

The probable cause affidavit says Hall had red spray paint on her hand and told officials she liked to paint.

When asked again about the vandalism, court records say Hall said it was her freedom of speech, and she was just spreading love. 

The affidavit says investigators found a red spray paint nozzle in Hall's car and a can of red spray paint in her kitchen. They also found dirty sweat pants with reddish paint on them. 

The sheriff say Hall is known to have some mental health issues. She's facing six charges of defacing a house of worship. The Sheriff's Office says it will be up to the district attorney to determine if hate crime charges apply.
