The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has released its report on crime in the state for 2015 and the number of violent crimes are up.
According to the OSBI, our state's murder rate is the highest it's been in a decade. There were 241 murders last year, 35 percent higher than 2014.

Violent crimes include murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault. Last year, those crimes increased by about 3.7 percent compared to 2014, but the total number has dropped more than 7 percent in 10 years.
The report also non-violent crimes like burglary and larceny dropped for the third year in a row.
