46-Year-Old Man Dies After Crashing Into Tree In Adair County

A 46-year-old man died in Adair County after crashing his truck into a tree on Saturday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.

OHP says Dow L. Buckner was driving a pickup on Highway 51 approximately 8 miles west of Stilwell when the collision occurred about 8:30 a.m.

Buckner was eastbound, departed the road to the left, struck a tree, and the truck came to rest in a field, according to the OHP report.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigating trooper says Buckner was not wearing a seatbelt and his condition, as well as the crash’s cause, is under investigation.
