A Catoosa woman who works as a Certified Nursing Assistant has been charged with neglect by caretaker in Tulsa County court.
Oklahoma's Attorney General Scott Pruitt says Jaclyn Lorene Wofford, 32, worked at the Sequoyah Pointe Living Center in Owasso.
In a news release, Pruitt's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit stated Wofford was caring for a 95-year-old resident who was considered a fall risk when she allegedly took the resident to the restroom, then left the room.
Without reporting the fall, the AG says Wofford placed the resident back in her wheel chair. He says it was later learned the resident had suffered some serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The release goes on to say, if convicted, Wofford faces up to 10 years in prison with a fines up to $10,000.
