Police have found the vehicle they believe was used in two QuikTrip robberies early Thursday in east Tulsa and have taken two suspects into custody.

Officers found the SUV parked at the QuikTrip at I-44 and Peoria at about 4:30 a.m. after responding to a shoplifting incident at the store.  Police took a man and female juvenile into custody and searched the SUV.

They have identified the man as Christian Fonseca.

At around 1 a.m. police said a man armed with a handgun walked into the QuikTrip at 41st and Garnett demanding money from the register and left out the back door.

Then at about 1:25 a.m. police responded to a robbery at the QuikTrip at 51st and 129th East Avenue. They said this time the robber, again armed with a handgun demanded money and ran out the front door and got into an SUV.

Sergeant Brandon Watkins said four people were in the car. The other three have been interviewed and released.

Police say no shots were fired in either robbery and no one was hurt.
