Officials say straight-line winds picked up quickly and contributed to fair amount of storm damage in Cleveland late Tuesday night.
The majority of the damage is limited to downed trees on the east side of town, but according to the Cleveland American, a mobile home and some vehicles were crushed by trees.
On the west side, city hall sustained minor damage, but Sonic Drive-In was hit much harder. Windows were busted at Sonic, and the electronic marquee was torn apart by winds.
Police and firefighters were seen making checks, even moving trees from roadways late Tuesday and early Wednesday, and city workers were out early removing debris.
Crews from Indian Electric Cooperative were out all night restoring power to some residents.
At least one transformer was hit during the storm, and IEC shows about outages are down to 300 across the entire county.
Residents near Keystone Lake, which is just south of the city limits, also reported damaging winds, with downed trees, damages to outbuildings and boats.
