Broken Arrow Police released the identity Tuesday afternoon of a man they said was killed by his ex-wife.
Police identify the man as Kenneth Nix, 69. His ex-wife -- Judith, also 69 -- is in custody in the hospital.
Corporal Leon Calhoun said they were called to the 18500 block of East 101st Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday. The call came in as a suicide.
He said they found Kenneth Nix dead of a gunshot wound to the head. Calhoun said investigators suspect Nix's death was staged to look like a suicide, and they arrested his ex-wife.
"As the investigation continued, it was learned the wife allegedly shot the victim several hours earlier," Calhoun said in a news release. "Throughout the day, the suspect confided with her two adult daughters about the incident, not contacting emergency personnel until much later."
Judith Nix was taken to the hospital for medical issues where she is currently in custody under guard. Police arrested Judith Nix's daughter, 43-year-old Michel Davis-Pearson, for accessory after the fact and said they are trying to find her other daughter.
