Tulsa police arrested a man they say led them on a chase Thursday evening.

According to police, around 9:30 p.m., a bail bondsman was trying to locate Billy Simpson, 41. Police said he had missed some court days in Wagoner County on a burglary charge.

The bondsman located Simpson at the Oak Tree Inn near 11th and Garnett and called police for assistance.  When police arrived, Simpson drove off in a stolen car, they said.

Officers said the police helicopter helped them catch Billy Simpson after he crashed through a fence and started a small fire near Admiral Place and 168th East Avenue.

They booked Simpson into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including speeding, possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding.
