Crash Knocks Down Tulsa Power Pole, Damages Gas Meter

PSO crews were up early to repair a power pole after a pickup crashed into it early Tuesday in east Tulsa. 

Police said it was raining pretty hard at around 12:30 a.m., the time of the crash. Officers said the driver of a pickup hit the pole on 129th East Avenue near 21st Street. They said the truck also damaged a nearby gas meter. 

PSO and ONG crews were called to replace the pole and gas meter.

Police said the driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. Authorities believe the wet roads contributed to the wreck.
