A Broken Arrow woman was arrested on child endangerment and drug complaints after police say she was extremely intoxicated while caring for her children over the weekend.
Brittany Dawn Carpenter, 23, was arrested at her home in the 600 block of South Fir Court just after midnight Sunday.
Police say Carpenter knocked on a neighbor's door screaming for help. The neighbor was afraid to open the door but called police, an arrest report states.
When officers talked to Carpenter, she told them she was upset because "her baby daddy went to the bar and left her there," the report states.
"She continued on to say she didn't want to take care of her kids and has never been alone with them before."
Police say she was so intoxicated she couldn't form coherent sentences but kept screaming obscenities and was unsteady on her feet. Officers found three young children, one less than a year old, sleeping in back bedrooms.
They also found several baggies of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the report states. Officers arrested Carpenter for possession of a controlled drug in the presence of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment.
