Catoosa Teacher Celebrates 50 Years Of Teaching

It takes a lot of dedication to devote 50 years to anything, but that’s exactly what one teacher has done.

Ray Snider's been teaching for half a century, and Tuesday that remarkable milestone was celebrated at Catoosa’s Wells Middle School.

And, to top it off, it was also ‘Ray Snider Day’ in the state of Oklahoma.

"You know, when you are sitting where you are right now, it doesn't seem like it's going by very fast. But, when you look back, it's just the snap of your fingers. I've had many, many, many years of good students. Love you all," he said.

In addition to teaching math and science, Snider has coached basketball, too.
