Petition Created To Save Hot, Cold Okemah Water Towers

The hot and cold water towers of Okemah have stood watch over the town for almost a century and have gained a following all their own.

They’re empty these days, and cost a lot of money to keep-up.

A new modern tower now supplies water to the town, and, last night, the city council voted to tear down the old towers.

Some hate to see them go and have started an online Change.org petition to keep them standing.
