A Tulsa police officer was assaulted following a pursuit late Saturday night, authorities say. Police say the chase began after officers saw a silver Chevy Impala speeding on North Lewis Avenue at Virgin Street around 10:30 p.m.
When police started to follow the car, the driver sped away. The Chevy came to a stop in the 2000 block of East Young Street, and two people bailed out. The driver and a passenger were arrested.
Another suspect was found hiding in a back yard where police say he attacked the officer trying to arrest him. Tulsa Police sent in a K-9 team and were eventually able to arrest the third man.
Two of the suspects were juveniles, and their names were not released. Tyler Goree, 19, was also arrested.
He was booked on complaints of knowingly concealing stolen property and a warrant for possession of a controlled drug with intent, near a school or park.
