A Cushing man is accused of physically and sexually assaulting a pregnant woman for nearly seven hours and trying to abort the baby during the attack, according to court documents.
Jason Scott Williams, 32, was charged last week in Payne County with first-degree rape, kidnapping, domestic assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault and battery against a pregnant woman. He had a hearing on Wednesday, but was given another week to secure an attorney, records show.
Documents say the woman was 19 weeks pregnant when the attack began about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 20. They said it didn’t end until 3:15 a.m. the next day.
She said Williams was intoxicated and the two got into an argument that turned physical, with him slapping her in the face several times, then punching her in the head and attempting to strangle her.
The woman also reported that Williams “lifted her up off the ground by only her hair.”
According to a report, Williams threatened her life by saying things like “he would bite her jugular, cut her head off, crush her skull with his hands, take a knife and cut the baby out.”
Investigators say that Williams punched her in the stomach several times and then tried to abort the baby internally with his hands.
Williams kept her from leaving the home and told her if she called police he would kill her and that he had friends in the Aryan Brotherhood who would hide her body, documents say.
After the physical attack, investigators say Williams raped her repeatedly.
The woman said Williams eventually fell asleep and she was able to get her child, who had been in a bedroom during the beating, and they left the residence for help.
Cushing police said woman’s face was “very swollen with red marks and bruising.” She underwent a rape exam by a nurse. The nurse told investigators that the woman’s multiple abrasions and bruises all over her body were consistent with a brutal rape and also matched the graphic details she gave to police, a report says.
The report does not provide details about the baby's health.
Police said Williams was hopping on one foot when they showed up to interview him. He reportedly told them his foot was broken because he and the woman had gotten into an argument the night before and “he got very upset and took out his anger on a bedroom door.”
Williams also told police the woman jumped on his back so he threw her off, and he was unable to tell officers how the woman received injuries to her face, the report says.
According to police, the woman consented to crime scene investigators searching the home, and they found large clumps of her hair on the floor, a knife and other items used in the attack.
Court records show Williams was granted an emergency protective order against the woman in November and it was extended in December. It was vacated mid-December. She was granted a protective order against him after he was charged with rape.
