If you're looking for a job there are some obvious "dos and don'ts" when it comes to your resume. But we spoke with experts to find out the easy ways you can go above and beyond to make your resume stand out.
One of these includes adding links to your resume you want to be sure your possibly new boss can learn more about.
So we spoke with an expert from "Pro Recruiters."
She says more and more hiring managers are looking at your resumes on their computers or tablets and not printing them out. She says one of the best ways to get your resume noticed is to add links to social media pages like Linked-In or Twitter.
You can even add videos to your resume.
"Do a YouTube video about the skills you bring to the table and put a link to your YouTube video on your resume. They can hear your excitement and they can see the person behind the paper," said Carey Baker, Pro Recruiters.
Of course, if you do add social media links to your resume, make sure there's nothing controversial or embarrassing on those sites because that'll hurt your chances of getting the job.
Also, experts say don't use the "Comic Sans" font on your resume and absolutely no emojis!
