Prosecutors Seeking Death Penalty In Cherokee County Rancher's Murder

The Cherokee County District Attorney will seek the death penalty against two murder suspects.

Paul Newberry and Cheyenne Watts are charged with murdering rancher Charley Kirk in July 2015.

They say the men shot and killed Kirk while trying to break into his home.

You may remember Newberry was one of two inmates who escaped from the Muskogee County jail last month.

He was recaptured two days later in Texas.
