Broken Arrow police used the Internet to meet and arrest some alleged drug users over the New Year's weekend.

Rodney Lee Stephens, William A. Poffinbarger Jr., and Jonathan Kirk Brzoski were all booked on complaints of delivery of a controlled substance.

Arrest reports state that police used Craigslist ads and a messaging app to meet up with the men - and in one case, an officer even identified himself as a cop before meeting the suspect.

Poffinbarger, 52, apparently posted on Craigslist that he was searching for a girl to "skate and spin" with, a term officers say is used in connection to methamphetamine use. A police officer contacted Poffinbarger and met him at a gas station in BA Friday night.

Poffinbarger arrived at the Valero parking lot with methamphetamine, marijuana and a schnauzer in his pickup, according to police. Police say they confiscated the drugs, arrested Poffinbarger and took the schnauzer to the suspect's ex-wife.

Rodney Stephens, also 52, advertised on the same website that he was looking for a buddy to "skate with me for hot naked man to man fun," the police reports say.

He met a Broken Arrow officer and was arrested with 6 grams of methamphetamine, according to police records.

Brzoski exchanged messages with undercover police in a chatroom discussion of illegal narcotics, the reports say. He called himself "Hellyea Squad" on the messaging service, according to police.

At one point in the message exchange, the 28-year-old man asked the undercover officer, "You're not a cop right?" and the officer responded: "I'm a cop," an arrest report states.

Brzoski drove from Yukon to an address in Broken Arrow where a drug dog positively indicated on his car, the arresting officer said.

Police say Brzoski had a gun in his vehicle as well as two small bags of crystal methamphetamine. He was booked on complaints of delivery of a controlled drug and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
