Oklahoma Food Bank Giving Meals To Those In Need

The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is helping make sure students on winter break get enough to eat.

Tuesday, the food bank took its mobile eatery to the South Tulsa Community House neighborhood near 61st and Peoria; they gave out hot meals to anyone in need.

This can be a tough time of the year for food-insecure students, who don't get the meals they're used to at school.

"In all of the Tulsa high schools, at least 50 percent of their student populations qualify for free or reduced lunches, so the need is great everywhere in the city," said Greg Raskin with the Community Food Bank.
