With Christmas just around the corner, the Salvation Army is running out of time to get presents for thousands of area kids.
The group is trying to organize the gifts that have been returned, but said hundreds of angels weren't selected off of Angels Trees and they have thousands more that people chose, but didn't return the gifts.
They're asking people to pick up toys for children 7 to 12 years old to help them fill wishes.
Major April Taylor with the Salvation Army said, "We don't just have toys, we have to get them from people and any donation they could bring in, we would greatly appreciate because we have a lot of children that need to be taken care of."
The Salvation Army said it really needs to the toys by the end of the day Tuesday so it can get everything sorted for distribution on Friday.
They said you can return them to the Joy Center at 924 South Hudson on 11th Street between Sheridan and Yale between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
