Elderly Woman Struck Crossing Tulsa Street

Police say an elderly woman was stuck by an SUV while crossing a Tulsa street Monday morning.

Officers said the accident happened on Admiral Boulevard east of Lewis just after 7:30 a.m.

Police believe the 95-year-old woman was crossing the street headed to a church when the eastbound SUV struck her. EMSA took the victim to a Tulsa hospital.

Police said the driver of the SUV reported being blinded by the morning sun.

Admiral Boulevard was closed in both directions where the pedestrian bridge crosses over Interstate 244.
