Sand Springs School Receives Check For $8,000

The school kids of Sand Springs were the winners after Bill Knight Lincoln and the Lincoln Motor Company handed over one of those coveted oversized checks.

It was for $8,000, and came from Lincoln's Driven To Give event in October, when over 300 Sandites test-drove the new Lincoln models in return for donations from Lincoln to the Sand Springs Education Foundation.

The Foundation uses the money for grants for classroom teachers throughout the Sand Springs school district.

"We know that education support and education budgets are tight right now in the state of Oklahoma so partnering with the Sand Springs Education Foundation allows us to help put money where it really makes a difference," Bill Knight said.

Over the past three years, Bill Knight and Lincoln have donated over $20,000 to the Sand Springs Education Foundation.
