A toddler found wandering a midtown Tulsa street has been reunited with her family, thanks to a Good Samaritan and the Tulsa Police.
A woman found the little girl on a frosty morning in the 2500 block of South Sheridan. The woman was driving near a muffler shop when she saw the child walking down the street, according to police.
The little girl, around 3 years old, appeared to be OK and was wearing a coat and backpack.
The girl was alert and talkative, and police decided to see if she could help them find her home.
The child bonded with the Good Samaritan who found her, and the woman - who had a car seat in her Mustang - and the little girl followed the patrol car as police looked for the child's home. News On 6 followed both cars as police drove neighborhood streets and talked to a couple of bystanders.
The girl's home was located several blocks from where she was found. The father said the little girl got up, got herself dressed and got out the door before her parents were up.
Police say she wanted to go to the park. Police said the woman who found the child was wonderful, going above and beyond in an effort to help the child.
The temperature was in the high 20s when the little girl was found just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
