A Tulsa man, already on parole and probation, was arrested after police said they found drugs in his vehicle.
According to an arrest report, around 10:30 Sunday evening an officer said he approached a white 2011 Ford F-150 with a nonfunctioning tag light in the Studio 6 motel at 8181 East 41st Street.
The report says the driver, John Cone, told the officer he was at the motel because he was planning on visiting someone in a room.
According to the report, Cone admitted to the officer that he had just been released from prison. The officer said he asked Cone to exit the vehicle and, when he did, the officer said he saw the butt of a pistol.
The report says the officer drew his gun and told Cone to get on the ground. The officer said Cone ran.
According to the report, the officer chased Cone and Tased him twice, with no effect, before tackling him and taking him into custody.
The report says during a search of Cone’s vehicle officers found a bag containing an excess of 20 grams of methamphetamine and large amounts of cocaine, "Molly" and marijuana.
Officers said they also found a bag with what they believe to be Oxycodone pills.
Cone is being held on several complaints, including trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm and resisting arrest.
The report says Cone has five prior felony narcotics convictions and was on both probation and parole.
