Firefighters say two people were taken to the hospital after a house caught fire Tuesday night.
The home is located at 1st and Pittsburg. Firefighters got the call at about 11:30 p.m. and were able to knock down the fire quickly, but not before it had caused extensive damage.
Police said they had been called to the home earlier in the evening because of a party which had gotten out of control.
Firefighters said they pulled a woman from the house after more than half her body was burned. They said they did CPR for 45 minutes and brought her back to life before she was transported to the hospital.
A neighbor pulled a man out of the house. He was released after a few hours in the hospital. He said he doesn't know what started the fire. He said he and his girlfriend were asleep and when they woke up, fire was surrounding them.
"I woke up, I seen the flames in the corner, right there in the corner, and I went into the kitchen and grabbed the fire extinguisher and I tried to put it out," he said.
Fire investigators have not determined the cause of the fire.
