It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but grinches are already hard at work stealing packages off porches.
Two packages were stolen off one Broken Arrow woman’s porch - one was a gift sent from a family member, the other was something very sentimental the couple wanted to use for a special announcement.
Matt and Veronica have been married three years and are expecting their first baby, so Veronica ordered little booties so they could post the good news that it's going to be a little boy.
She tracked the package the whole way to her porch, but when she got home that night, it was gone. She was crushed.
"What value is that for you? What are you going to get out of it? You can't sell it for a lot of money, it's crazy," she said.
She immediately posted about the theft at nextdoor.com, a website for neighborhoods to share all kinds of information, including thefts.
Several of her neighbors who saw her post on nextdoor let her know it had also happened to them.

Veronica said, "I was really mad. You know, you work really hard, you're really busy, it's not something you have time for."
In addition to working, Veronica is also a full-time graduate student, so shopping online and having items shipped to the house seems convenient, but now she's rethinking that.
"You have to worry about are your packages gonna be stolen so is it really convenient to shop online," she said.
The best advice is to not have anything sent to your home if you're not going to be there. Otherwise, have it sent to work or a relative's house where you know they can pick it up right away.
