As many as six people are dead in a charter bus crash along Interstate-40 in North Little Rock, reports CBS Little Rock affiliate KTHV-TV.
According to a press release from Bill Sadler of Arkansas State Police, multiple others were hurt and taken from the scene by ambulance for treatment.
Sadler said the incident was reported to authorities around 1 a.m. Friday. He said the bus left the roadway and hit an abutment.
The names of the driver, victims and other passengers weren't initially released.
There was also no word on the bus' destination or the possible cause of the crash. The National Weather Service reported there was light rain and fog around the time of the accident, but it wasn't immediately known if weather played a role in the crash.
