The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch until 8 p.m. for much of eastern Oklahoma.
Counties in the watch area include Atoka, Bryan, Choctaw, Latimer, LeFlore, McCurtain and Pushmataha. Several others, including the Tulsa-metro area were under the watch earlier in the day.
The NWS has also issued Tornado Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for several counties as a line of thunderstorms moved out of north central Oklahoma.
The News On 6 WARN team said a line of storms was moving rapidly to the northeast and was capable of producing golf ball size hall, strong winds and frequent lightning.
Cooler temperatures followed the cold front as it moved east out of Oklahoma. A frost advisory is in effect for extreme western Oklahoma and the Panhandle, where temperatures will dip into the 30's late Thursday and early Friday.
