Purse Sought In Murder Of Beggs Woman

The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office is asking for help to locate a purse taken from the home of a murder victim earlier this month.

The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a purse they say was taken from the home of a murder victim earlier this month. The colorful purse shows the head and shoulders of three horses in front of what appears to be a sunset.

Deputies say a purse identical to one in a photo was taken from the Beggs home of Becky Hamilton. The 62-year-old woman was shot and killed in her home October 17.

Deputies say she interrupted an intruder during a break in.
