Voters Approve Owasso Schools Bond Issues, Sand Springs Sales Taxes

Voters in Owasso approved two school bond issues, as did voters in other districts in northeastern Oklahoma.

Voters in Owasso approved two school bond issues, as did voters in other districts in northeastern Oklahoma.

Unofficial results show Owasso's $20,770,000 construction bond passed with 82% of the vote. The $2,130,000 transportation bond passed with 83% of the vote.

In Sand Springs voters approved a public safety sales tax as well as an economic development sales tax.

Voters also approved bond issues for Vinita Schools, Bristow Schools and Caney Valley Schools.

Voters turned down Pocola Schools' $5,080,000 construction bond.

Hartshorne voters overwhelmingly approved a PSO Franchise, while McAlester voters rejected a 3/4-cent sales tax.

Bartlesville voters approved both an economic development sales tax and a .4-cent sales tax.
