Broken Arrow Woman Killed In Lake Tenkiller Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the driver who died when a vehicle ran off the road and crashed into Lake Tenkiller Monday afternoon.

Troopers said Tara Mize, 40, was driving a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 when it ran off Highway 82 to the right, going over a 40-foot bluff and landing in Lake Tenkiller.

The Cherokee Nation Marshall Service Dive Team pronounced the Broken Arrow woman dead at the scene from head, leg, and arm injuries, according to the OHP.

Troopers said they're still investigating the cause of the collision and don't know Mize's condition leading up to the wreck or if she was wearing a seat belt.
